If you’ve never had a brain shiver, be thankful. They’re not ice cream cones.
A brain shiver is a zapping or pulsing movement in your head when you’re withdrawing from an SSRI. It’s like being jerked around on a bad wooden roller coaster for a few weeks…and there are some bad wooden roller coasters out there (I’m looking at you, Meanstreak)
So if you’re on an SSRI, or thinking about going on something like Zoloft, think about the withdrawal effects. I mean, Zoloft works great when you really need it, but man, it will kick your ass when you’re trying not to use it anymore.
…I just want an ice cream cone now.
